Son, I don't know if you ever visit my blogspot, but if you do, I want you to know that you are still as precious to me today as you were on that day more than 23 years ago when this video was made. Your mother and I began praying for you daily from the moment you were conceived - and we continue to do so until this day. (And the same is true regarding your brother). I love you both with all my heart.

PJ,
I just commented a really long one, but it got deleted, so here I am starting over writing another one. This past weekend I flew home from school for my birthday. And your name came up a few times during conversation. No, it wasnt anything bad. I was talking with my family, Michelle Meinema, and Sara Kidney, saying how much I miss you, and I wish I could just hear one of your sermons again. And Michelle told me about this blog, and she was like now you can. I was like, yay!! I was so excited. So here's my first few moments reading your blogs. Wow, you have gone through alot since the last time I've seen you. The one I just read before writing this, is your near death experience. Wow, even reading it, freaks me out. My parents have gone through some stuff like you did, and boy has it been scary. I'll update you on that this upcoming week, maybe you can understand what my mom went through. I also seen what you wrote about TJ. He has come so far since the last time I've seen him. We're friends on myspace, and I just love getting his updates everyonce and awhile. He has grown up into a young teenager into a man. He has worked so hard for what he has come to now. I know as parents you and Win must be so so so proud of him!!!! But as a friend I am so incrediably proud of him. Like I said he has come so far. Just the bond me and him share for being the only onces at church graduating in 2005, and being a month apart. A few friends that know you guys say that me and TJ should start something. Which makes me smile, but I like the idea. He is such a nice looking man, and has an amazing head on his shoulders. But I really hope we can meet up sometime. I dont know if you plan on coming here anytime soon to see family & friends. But I will be in Washington Dec. 28- Jan. 5. I know that is not really close to you. It's actually about 4 1/2 hours from you. But if for some reason you'll be in the Seattle, Bellingham, or Anacortes, Washington area during those dates let me know. I hope we can meet up for lunch or something. Well I miss you more than ever. I hope all is well with the family. And I hope to hear from you soon. Things have been rough without you and your family.

I hope to get an update from you soon. I love you and I miss you!!!

Email me anytime, hope011@myway.com

Hi, Kayla!

What a nice surprise to see your comment on my blog.

Yes, we have been through a lot . . . but God is good and He is forever faithful.

And, yes, we are EXTREMELY proud of TJ. He is doing so well at Tech School. All of his training instructors are continually commending him for his good work. Win and I had such a good time with him when we flew down to San Antonio in August to see his graduation from BMT (Basic Military Training).

We can't wait for him to come home for a few weeks before he moves to his first official assignment: He will be guarding the Air Force base in Great Falls, MT. He is supposed to be there for three years, but he could also be deployed to Iraq or Afganistan from there.

Jim is home with us now. I flew out to the midwest back in June and we drove his car back to Oregon together. He has a good job working for the state of Oregon, and he is getting involved in a large church in south Salem.

What brings you to the Seattle area the end of December? I doubt that we will be up that way at all during the holiday season. Hope you have a good trip and a good time.

Please give our warm regards to your mom and dad - and Nick - and Sara, Wayne and Michelle, etc. I don't know if / when we will ever get to visit back in the midwest again. I especially miss my good old barber and fishing buddy, Captain Mike. We keep in touch.

Thanks again for writing, Kayla. Have a BLESSED day.

STILL amazed by His grace,

PJ
